As we are well aware global warming is the major challenge to many industries. One of the most heavily impacted global industries is the steel industry. Steel production is energy intensive and the emissions are a key concern. Here we look at the coming regulations and examine their impact on steel companies bottom line. Some of the topics planned for discussion are:

Are some steel producers better positioned than others to meet emission regulations?
What are the costs associated with compliance with green regulations?
What are the options for the existing producers, upgrade existing facilities, trade emission credits, build new plants and close old ones, move production to other locations or other strategies?
Who will ultimately pay the costs to meet the new requirements?
Are there technologies readily available to reduce emissions?
What impact will steel companies experience in their competitiveness and bottom lines?

These and other factors will be examined at the conference. As is the norm at our conferences, delegates will have ample networking opportunities at which to grow their contact base and re-establish old relationships.
